Recently, Meraki Land and IHG Hotels & Resorts announced a partnership to develop two new hospitality projects in Vietnam, marking a significant expansion in the country's upscale hotel sector.

According to the announcement, the two developments — Regent Ho Tram and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong — will be located in Southern Vietnam and are designed to cater to affluent domestic and international travelers. The collaboration also represents the next chapter in the strategic relationship between Meraki Land and IHG, following successful partnerships on projects such as Moire Hoi An, Vignette Collection and Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre.

The event also marked the official debut of Meraki Land in Vietnam's luxury real estate and hospitality market. Guided by its philosophy, "Crafting Masterpieces," the company focuses on creating exceptional living and hospitality destinations that blend international standards with local cultural heritage.

Mrs. Nguyễn Thái Đông Hương, Chief Executive Officer of Meraki Land, speaking at the event.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyễn Thái Đông Hương, Chief Executive Officer of Meraki Land, emphasized the company's commitment to creating destinations with lasting meaning and identity.

"We believe that real estate is not merely built with materials; it should be a living environment shaped by passion, emotion, and a deep understanding of the land on which it stands. At Meraki Land, every project is conceived as a living icon that embodies local cultural heritage while being developed to global standards, creating enduring value for generations to come."

According to the company, the name "Meraki" is inspired by the Greek concept of putting one's soul, creativity, and devotion into everything one creates. This philosophy is reflected throughout its developments, where contemporary architecture, international hospitality standards, and authentic local culture come together to create meaningful guest experiences.

From the perspective of an international hospitality operator, Mr. Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director, South East Asia & Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts, described Vietnam as one of the group's most dynamic growth markets in Asia.

"Since opening our first hotel in Vietnam in 2007, we have established a strong presence in this market. Today, IHG is a leader in the luxury segment and one of the largest operators of branded residences globally. Through strategic partnerships with developers such as Meraki Land, we continue to introduce hotels that embody distinctive brand identities, combining refined design with exceptional construction quality."

IHG also noted that Vietnam is becoming one of the region's most attractive destinations for luxury travel, supported by expanding infrastructure, strong tourism growth, and increasing demand from high-spending travelers.

Meraki Land and IHG Hotels & Resorts will collaborate to develop two new projects in Vietnam.

Regent Ho Tram: A New Ultra-Luxury Destination

Among the two announced projects, Regent Ho Tram stands out as a major milestone, becoming the second Regent-branded property in Vietnam after Regent Phu Quoc. Located along the pristine coastline of Ho Tram, the resort is designed to serve discerning domestic and international luxury travelers.

The resort will feature 220 keys, including:

  • 110 suites
  • 30 Skyvilla Suites with private pools
  • 80 luxury villas ranging from two to four bedrooms

The development will also offer a curated collection of restaurants and bars, alongside premium wellness experiences and world-class hospitality amenities.

Beyond the resort itself, the project will introduce 95 Regent-branded residences, including Skyvilla residences and luxury beachfront villas. Branded residences continue to be one of the fastest-growing segments within the global luxury hospitality industry.

Ho Tram has emerged as one of Southern Vietnam's most promising luxury destinations, benefiting from its natural coastline, proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, and rapidly improving transportation infrastructure. The destination is expected to gain further momentum with the future operation of Long Thanh International Airport and new regional expressway networks.

Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong: Serving Vietnam's Industrial Growth Corridor

Complementing the beachfront resort development, Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong is being positioned to serve business travelers, international professionals, and corporate guests working in Binh Duong, one of Vietnam's leading industrial and foreign investment hubs.

Scheduled to open in 2028, the hotel will offer 220 guestrooms and form part of a mixed-use development in Thuan An, integrating retail, commercial, and upscale residential components.

The property will feature a range of business and leisure facilities, including restaurants, a swimming pool, fitness center, and more than 1,000 square meters of meeting and conference space, catering to the growing demand for business travel and MICE activities in the region.

The partnership marks a new milestone in the growing relationship between Meraki Land and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Strengthening Vietnam's Position on the Global Hospitality Map

Industry observers believe the continued expansion of international hospitality brands reflects the long-term growth potential of Vietnam's tourism and luxury real estate sectors. Beyond major metropolitan centers, emerging resort destinations and rapidly developing industrial cities are increasingly attracting global investment and world-renowned hospitality operators.

Currently, IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 24 hotels across Vietnam and has more than 20 projects in its development pipeline, spanning luxury, premium, lifestyle, and branded residence segments.
